ABSOLUTELY & FOREVER is an electrifying short novel about first love and true friendship set in 1950s and 1960s London and Paris from multiple bestseller, Rose Tremain . It has been announced as one of six novels shortlisted for the £25,000 Walter Scott Prize for Historical Fiction. The judges said: “The judging criteria – originality, innovation, ambition, durability and quality of writing – are beautifully showcased in our 2024 shortlist” The winner will be announced on 13 June 2024 at a special public event with shortlisters at the Borders Book Festival in Melrose.
