THE CRIME TSAR
Police Chief Constable Tom Shackleton is ambitious to reach the top of his profession, but no one is more ambitious for his future than his wife. Jenni Shackleton looks every inch the consort to a powerful man. Striking and groomed to gleam in any crowd, she is connected through her own job in journalism to the right people to further Tom’s career – or so she thinks. She is also unscrupulous: Jenni Shackleton will stop at nothing to get what she wants.
Threads of classical tragedy run through this modern drama of power, cunning sex and ambition. Nichola McAuliffe directs it all with style, skill and at a thunderous pace.

I CAPTURE THE CASTLE book & lyrics by Teresa Howard, music by Steven Edis
Based on the classic novel by Dodie Smith, the musical premiered in 2017 at Watford Palace Theatre and toured to Buxton Opera House and Oxford Playhouse.
Set in the Bohemian England of the 1930s, Dodie Smith’s worldwide bestselling classic is a warm and sharply funny coming-of-age story.
The script by Teresa Howard tells the story through the eyes of seventeen-year-old narrator Cassandra, opening with the famous line: ‘I write this sitting in the kitchen sink..’
The original music by composer Steven Edis has influences of swing, tango, beguine, English folksong and a hint of Cole Porter.

THE SUNSHINE GANG by Annemarie Lewis Thomas & Nick Stimson
An original musical comedy, based on the life of a haphazard ENSA troop just before another bombing. The music is a pastiche of the 1940 war songs including numbers reminiscent of the Andrews Sisters, a Vera Lynn-like ballad. Along with uplifting, heart-warming songs.
Cast of 15+
Annemarie Lewis Thomas and Nick Stimson have written further musicals available for licensing including the following all produced in London previously CELEBS ANON (2011), THE BALLAD OF KITTY JAY (2013), JUST THE TICKET (2014) and THE VENUS FACTOR (2015).

RAB HOOD AND THE SHERIFF OF SHETTLESTON by Morag Fullarton
An adult pantomime with multiple 4 & 5★ reviews during Christmas 2022
|
“Writer and director Morag Fullarton commands foul language and crass humour with an ability to weave them so well through a traditional pantomime aesthetic. But this isn’t the only ‘adult’ feature of the production; the political wit Fullarton ripostes throughout is sharp and cutting, effective as a face-on stab at the current state of affairs.” CORR BLIMEY ★★★★ |
“In Morag Fullarton’s Rab Hood And The Sheriff Of Shettleston, at Oran Mor, the absence of slushy romance is both complete and necessary, as the show pursues its annual mission to celebrate that strand of pantomime that mocks the mighty, and to give bourgeois sentimentality the bum’s rush.” THE SCOTSMAN ★★★★ |
