Annie Caulfield was originally from Northern Ireland, and subsequently lived in London and Granada. She wrote for film, animation, radio and television, as well as line after line of stand-up comedy. She published two children’s books and four travel memoirs. She appeared on light-hearted panel shows and broadcast from destinations ranging from Australia to Zanzibar.
For her stage works she was awarded a Peggy Ramsay Bursary and two Arts Council bursaries. She was shortlisted for the Tinniswood, Bruntwood and Glenn Dimplex awards. She won a Race in the Media award for the radio drama AFTER YOU’VE GONE, starring Lenny Henry and Clarke Peters.
Annie loved telling stories, whatever the form.
