Perth Theatre launch their spring Theatre Season Subscription with a world premiere: The Perth Theatre production of Nicola Werenowska’s reimagining of D. H. Lawrence’s classic novel THE RAINBOW. The play gives voice to the three generations of Polish women at the heart of the story. This bold story paints a colourful picture of female emancipation, class struggle, gender and migrant identity; reminding us that it is only when we embrace the past that we discover who we really are.
A lively ensemble piece filled with fast-paced dialogue, music and movement, this brand-new show brings out themes of female emancipation, class struggles and migrant identity, giving a further nod to the role the Polish community continues to play in the cultural life of the city of Perth.
