Tina’s work spans various media. She often takes factual material as her starting point but is just as inspired by archetype, myth and the unexpected. She also enjoys mentoring and teaching young people in community, school and university settings and shares with them a freshness of storytelling. She is known for her outstanding radio work which has won the Giles Cooper Award and brought nominations for the Sony Award and for the Morishige Award International Radio Drama Contest.
Tina’s television drama work has also brought accolades and includes the first series of the international hit DOWNTON ABBEY (Carnival/ITV, autumn 2010) where Tina’s episode – co-written with series creator Julian Fellowes – featured Lady Sybil involved in a political rally, and HOME FIRES Series 1 (ITV Studios/ITV, 2015).
Projects on Tina’s current development slate include a fascinating and shocking one-woman drama about the wife of the explorer and adventurer Sir Richard Burton, and her play PRINCES, the theatrical adaptation of her drama documentary on the subject of the two Princes who disappeared after being placed in the Tower of London in 1483 by their uncle, Richard III. She is also developing further work for audio drama.
Tina’s extensive work for radio includes her BBC Radio 4 Drama broadcast in September 2023 KALEIDOSCOPE, commissioned to celebrate 100 years of Radio Drama and directed by Jeremy Mortimer, it stars David Haig. Other work includes two 5 x 15-minute dramas about aid workers with overtones of MASH for BBC Radio 4: CRISIS (South Sudan, 2012) and SYRIA: BREAD AND BOMBS (2014).
She has also developed international drama series projects with House of Greenland, UK and MBC, Dubai and ECTI, Armenia.
A 4-part audio drama A PRINCE IN THE TOWER starring Iain Glen as 15th century pretender to the throne Perkin Warbeck was released on History Hit TV in 2019 with an introduction by Dan Snow.
