Rock ‘n’ roll, resistance, and real community spirit – GOOD GOLLY MISS MOLLY is one of the New Vic, Newcastle Under Lyme’s biggest hits and it’s back on stage as part of the theatre’s 40th anniversary celebrations – and we’re proud to see our client Sayan Kent as Musical Director again.
Written and directed by Bob Eaton, this feel-good favourite follows Molly Gordon and her neighbours as they fight to save their street from demolition, all from the heart of their local workingmen’s club, with a reunited rock ‘n’ roll band and a soundtrack packed with classic hits.
Pulsing with energy, nostalgia and a foot-stomping soundtrack of rock ‘n’ roll hits from an era gone by, the show charts the history of one local community against a backdrop of social turmoil, societal changes and tumultuous friendships. A story of defiance, solidarity and unbreakable community spirit in the face of adversity, this feel-good show is as relevant as ever!
